Dream of an early autumn day: new giant binoculars from Zeiss in the Asembi series?

I lettori di  Binomania avranno avuto modo di conoscere ed apprezzare il Docter Aspectem dato che è stato lodato più’ volte dal sottoscritto, tra le pagine di Binomania e anche in vari forum internazionali.

Non tutti sanno, pero’, che il Docter Aspectem è nipote dello Zeiss Asembi, un progetto eccezionale, nato decine di anni or sono che ha fatto sognare e soddisfatto centinaia di appassionati in tutto il mondo.

Sul mercato del collezionismo “girano” ancora alcuni esemplari di Zeiss   CARL ZEISS JENA ASEMBI 12x 20x 40x che si possono acquistare per cifre superiori ai 2000 euro.  Insomma è sempre stato un binocolo molto apprezzato per le osservazioni a lunga distanza e un precursore dei binocoli giganti attualmente disponibili sul mercato.

Purtroppo poche settimane fa, Noblex  (azienda che ha ritirato il marchio “Docter”- prima posseduto da Analitik Jena AG) mi ha confermato che sia l’Aspectem (nelle versioni ED 20-50X e 40X) sia l’oculare 12.5mm UWA sono fuori produzione. Per questo motivo chi potrebbe attualmente far nascere dalle ceneri, come una rediviva fenice, il mitico Asembi?
Beh, Zeiss, e vi spiego anche il perchè.

I sistemi di osservazione terrestre a lunga distanza di Zeiss con la serie Harpia e Gavia sono nati con un approccio differente rispetto al sistema modulare dello Swarovski (ATX, STX e BTX) per questo motivo, a meno di qualche sorpresa, Zeiss non  avrebbe interesse a creare un modulo binoculare. 

Potrebbe pero’ progettare  un nuovo Zeiss Asembi! Ne sono sicuro.

Ma come immagino un ipotetico Zeiss Asembi? Beh, con almeno ottiche FL da 95 mm, un scafo leggero e robusto in magnesio e con un sistema di ingrandimento variabile, identico a quello disponibile nello Zeiss Harpia, questo significherebbe avere degli ampi campi di vista a bassi ingrandimenti. Dovrebbe essere un binocolo leggero e robusto e ben impermeabilizzato.

Mi scuso per il pessimo collage che ho fatto, non sono di certo un progettista, era solo per dare un’idea…

Potrebbero lavorare a due versioni, una dritta con prismi di Porro II e una angolata. E voi, cosa ne pensate di questo mio sogno ad occhi aperti?
