ANTICO BINOCOLO MILITARE ITALIANO  02/06/2019

Ieri, 2/6/2019 presso il mercatino di Novegro ho avuto la fortuna di trovare questo bell’oggetto: un cannocchiale (o più esattamente “binoculars” di bell’aspetto e di forma inconsueta che ritengo anche rara.

Io, pur non essendo un intenditore né un collezionista di cannocchiali (anche se ne possiedo parecchi), ma fortemente attratto da quest’oggetto ho chiesto di poterlo vedere.

 

 

DESCRIZIONE

Binocolo militare, certamente molto antico e di fabbricazione precedente ai cannocchiali prismatici.

Composto da due cannocchiali “monocoli” incernierati, la cui parte da impugnare è rivestita in elegante marocchino nero.

E’ sano e funzionante e contiene questa unica punzonatura: “INGRANDISCE 12 VOLTE”.

Da questa scritta si evince che il cannocchiale è di fabbricazione italiana, ma risulta anonimo.

NOTA: La mia accurata ricerca su Internet non ha trovato alcuna foto né descrizione di un simile binocolo.

 

MISURE

Lunghezza: chiuso cm. 20 – apertura massima cm. 30 – messa a fuoco all’orizzonte = cm. 29

Diametro lenti: Le piccole mm. 15 – Le grandi mm. 30

 

RICHIESTA DI INFORMAZIONI Da questa scritta si evince che il cannocchiale è di fabbricazione italiana, ma risulta anonimo. NOTA: Cercando su Internet non ho trovato alcuna foto né descrizione di un simile cannocchiale.

Ragionando, rilevo che riguardo alle caratteristiche del cannocchiale (molto lungo), immagino che fosse nato per un utilizzo da una postazione fissa, quindi o una “plancia” di una nave o da una trincea, altrimenti sarebbe stato impossibile mantenere il cannocchiale immobile.

 

L’ingrandimento 12x non è molto compatibile con l’utilizzo a mano libera e su questo binocolo non si notano dispositivi per il montaggio su cavalletto.

                                           

Effettivamente le misure molto inusuali corrispondono a quelle utilizzate dall’Artiglieria per uso o dalla plancia di una nave o da una trincea. Vi sarei molto grato se poteste fornirmi delle notizie a vs. conoscenza. Vi ringrazio anticipatamente e vi invio i miei migliori saluti. CGR
