My name is Piergiovanni Salimbeni and I am a tester and independent journalist registered with the Order of Journalists of Lombardy.
For over twenty-five years I have been working with optical and digital instruments for nature, astronomical, and sports observation, with an approach based on repeated tests, field comparisons, and real-world use.
I began my publishing career in 1997, collaborating with astronomy and science magazines. In 2005, I founded Binomania.co.uk, a project born to explain the real-world advantages, limitations, and trade-offs of optical instruments, placing user experience and independent judgment at the center.
Alongside my editorial work, I create video reviews on the Binomania YouTube channel, collaborate with industry magazines, and offer consulting services to those who want to make a more informed decision before making a major purchase.
I live in the province of Varese with my family and continue to dedicate myself to nature observation, digiscoping, and landscape photography.
