In international forums, the new SKYROVER APO binoculars , which has already been compared in the field by some overseas enthusiasts (certainly not by the company) to the Swarovski NL PURE and other binoculars, thanks to its very interesting technical specifications.
This is a binocular developed by the Chinese company Skyrover, characterized by a wide apparent field of over 70° with glass. They feature an ED doublet and various treatments: FBMC, phase coating, and hydrophobic coating. Both formats benefit from an average transmission of up to 90% and a peak transmission of up to 92%. It appears they will allow for a fully corrected field of view right to the edge.
I am publishing three images relating to a preliminary comparison that appeared on Cloudy Nights, Thanks to user Jiaowai who is evaluating it along with other models.
Those who have already tested it have been very impressed with its performance, especially considering its price range of under $500. It will be available in several format variants (42 mm and 50 mm). I contacted Skyrover directly, and they confirmed that they are receiving numerous requests from bloggers and enthusiasts around the world eager to test one.
Forced to make some choices, they decided to screen the requests but confirmed they'll send me a sample in the next few days. Therefore, in the coming weeks, I'll be able to prepare a video review, a preview for Europe. All that remains is to wait for a sample to arrive to see if we're dealing with the new benchmark in that price range.
